HR ASSISTANT

Universal Hospital Services

Responsibilities Monitors, updates, and recruits employees using the company's applicant tracking system (ICIMS). Conducts preliminary interviews with potential candidates. Routes resumes, coordinates and arranges candidate interviews with appropriate manager. Effectively utilizes various talent acquisition approaches e.g. FB, Linkedin, Job boards, text campaigns. Maintains employee files according to state and accreditation standards. Answers phones promptly and in a courteous manner. Assists with new employee background checks. Assists hired applicants with onboarding and new hire paperwork. Coordinates hospital orientation to include copying of material. Maintains employee certifications/competencies in learning management system (Healthstream). Other duties as assigned. Qualifications EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associates Degree in Human Resources, Business, or other related concentration of studies. Prior experience in a health care setting is a plus. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulation. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of manager, clients, customers, and the general public. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. REASONING ABILITY: Requires ability to interpret and/or research standards and criteria related to health care; ability to design, plan, measure, analyze, and improve processes and systems with a teamwork approach.
