Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical unit position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and a GA or compact RN license, with night shifts and every-other-weekend availability.

Details

• Medical/Surgical unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
• 8-week contract length

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
• Current certifications must be on file and up to date
• Two supervisory references (Manager level or above) highly preferred; charge nurse references not accepted

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted
• RTO is capped at 7 days for the duration of the assignment; RTO cannot be requested during the first week
• If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work those holidays with no holiday RTO permitted; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler must work two of them, with one holiday RTO request eligible for review
• Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday (counted as one), Christmas Eve/Christmas Day (counted as one), and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day (counted as one)
• No schedule change requests or alternate shift arrangements are permitted; the posted shift is firm
• Travelers must have been away from all facilities within this health system for a minimum of one full year before returning as a traveler
• Full compliance with all onboarding requirements is necessary to begin on time; delays in compliance may result in a two-week pushback due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule
