Job Description: JOB REQUIREMENTS: Experience: 2 years in an Outpatient setting, CA LVN, Certs: BLS (AHA or ARC only), IV & Blood withdrawal. Special Requirements: Phlebotomy and IV start skills. JOB DETAILS: Weekend REQ: 1 weekend per month, Floating REQ: Yes, On-Call REQ: No, Pending license: NO, must be active at time of submission, NO SCHEDULING REQUESTS CAN BE ACCOMMODATED. Unit Details: The LVN supports the physician and nursing staff in the delivery of health care by performing patient care assessments, and a variety of medically related tasks. The LVN is a licensed nurse who works in an ambulatory care setting to perform and provide nursing services within the scope of practice. Special Equipment: Sets up exam room/procedure rooms appropriately based on patient visit needs. Performs initial nursing intake and prepares patients for examination. Prepares patients for examination by reviewing current medications and reviewing documents in medical record. Prepares medical chart and records patient information needed to support the reason for visit such as vital signs and reason for visit. Administers prescribed medications, injections, or IV medications using best practice. Compliance Submission Rules: Locals: Locals are accepted unless otherwise stated in the job title. A reduced local rate applies for MA's & LVN's ONLY. Licensure: LVN's must have a valid CA IV certification at the time of submission. MA's must have a certification from an accredited school listed on the DAPIP website. Temp RN/LVN license are not accepted. Valid perm California license must be in hand at time of submission. Copy of the license or cert required with the submission. Floating: Traveler must be flexible. Specific float locations will be listed in job posting if required. References - 2 references from within the past 1 year of employment are required at the time of submission. Must be supervisor or higher - No Charge RN. Hard Stop. Return Staff Policy - Previous perm employees must be separated for 24 months before they are eligible for travel positions at all Cedars-Sinai facilities (including Torrance Memorial Medical Center and Cedars Marina Del Rey), with the exception of CSMN, which requires a 12 month separation. All past Cedars employment (travel, staff, etc.) MUST be included on profile. This includes Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Cedars Marina Del Rey, Torrance Memorial, Cedars-Sinai Medical Network (CSMN), Huntington Health Physicians (HHP) and Huntington Hospital. Background Policy - Any license or background hit requires a detailed written statement from the traveler. License/background hits will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Any license or background hits that are open and/or pending are an automatic redirect. All hits must be completely closed. RTO Rules: Max RTO: 7 days. No RTO within the first 2 weeks of the assignment. Must be included at the time of submission. Compliance: Modules: Modules are billable, max billable hours: Non-Clinical traveler: 8 hours, Clinical/Allied traveler: 10 hours, Lead/Supervisor traveler: 10 hours.
