Job Title: Emergency Room RN Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 AM - 07:30 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: ACLS, PALS, TNCC, BLS Must-Have: - Epic EMR experience in a similar unit within the last 12 months - Successful completion of a Basic Dysrhythmia test Description: The Emergency Room RN is responsible for identifying patient needs and priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Provides direct and indirect patient care in the emergency care setting. Is able to triage safely, rapidly, and accurately every patient that enters the emergency care system. RNs coordinate care between other professional disciplines as needed. Travelers are required to self-study telemetry strips upon acceptance. A Basic Dysrhythmia test will be administered during orientation, and must be passed to work in the emergency department. While travelers are not part of a regular call rotation, they may occasionally be placed on call during periods of low census. If called in, the traveler is expected to respond and arrive on-site within one hour. Every other weekend rotation and every other holiday are expected.
