Cloud Engineer

Salary: $89,000 - 129,000 per year Requirements:

• 5–8 years of overall IT industry experience.
• 3–5 years of hands-on administration experience with Azure, AWS, and/or GCP.
• Strong CloudOps experience managing production cloud environments.
• Experience with high availability, clustering, replication, networking, VPNs, VPCs, and security technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, ARM/Bicep, or CloudFormation.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, AWS DevOps tools, or equivalent platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, DNS, DHCP, and Windows or Linux server administration.
• Scripting experience with PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar languages.
• Experience with cloud monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational support.
• Working knowledge of ITIL processes and operational best practices.
• Strong communication, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management skills.
• Preferred: Azure Administrator, AWS Solutions Architect, AWS SysOps, or GCP certifications.
• Preferred: Experience with containers and Kubernetes, including AKS, EKS, or GKE.
• Preferred: DevSecOps and security automation experience.
• Preferred: Experience supporting healthcare or other regulated environments.

• Design, implement, administer, and optimize cloud environments across Azure, AWS, and GCP; manage cloud accounts, subscriptions, budgets, cost optimization, and governance.
• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services.
• Manage Windows and Linux cloud servers, including patching, monitoring, backup, recovery, and security administration.
• Configure and manage WAF application gateways, load balancers, cloud firewalls, VPNs, and VPC networking.
• Administer networked storage, replication, clustering, and high-availability solutions.
• Migrate workloads from on-premises environments to cloud platforms.
• Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and incident response; monitor infrastructure health, performance, availability, and security.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and implement Infrastructure as Code.
• Automate provisioning, deployments, configuration management, and operational tasks using scripting tools.
• Collaborate with development, platform, and operations teams to support DevSecOps practices.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational dashboards for cloud workloads.
• Support containerized and cloud-native deployments where applicable.
• Configure and manage IAM policies, RBAC, privileged access, and access governance.
• Administer Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, Office 365, DNS, and DHCP services.
• Ensure cloud environments meet security, compliance, and governance standards; support vulnerability remediation, patch management, and security audits.
• Maintain runbooks, SOPs, architecture diagrams, and support documentation.
• Follow ITIL practices for incident, problem, change, and service request management.
• Participate in capacity planning, performance tuning, and continuous service improvement.
