Registered Nurse - Perinatal Night Shift

This position requires a night shift schedule from 7 PM to 7 AM.

The Registered Nurse in this role will deliver both routine and complex nursing care within a perinatal setting. The competent Nurse practices independently while being aware of all relevant aspects of each clinical situation. The successful candidate will manage various contingencies of clinical nursing, making appropriate assignments and delegating tasks to other care providers.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments following protocols while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients and families regarding their care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty is preferred.
• Current RN License in the state of TX or a compact state.
• Current certifications required from one of the following: AWHONN Intermediate FHM, or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM).
• Current BLS, NRP, and ACLS certification (AHA only) required.
