Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in an education location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible security-related presence, and help to discourage incidents through strong observation and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or faculty by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with campus contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and help to confirm that individuals entering the location follow visitor procedures, identification requirements, and/or posted site rules.
• Support daily campus operations by reporting maintenance concerns, policy violations, and/or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
