- Assess patients across various age groups through standardized tests and careful observation.
- Create tailored treatment plans targeting immediate and future communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
- Deliver focused speech therapy sessions addressing language, fluency, voice, and swallowing difficulties on a one-on-one basis.
- Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and families to develop and implement integrated care strategies.
- Engage in patient and family education to enhance progress outside of therapy sessions.
- Occasionally assist with inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions, guaranteeing a seamless care experience.
- Ensure meticulous and timely documentation in accordance with all regulatory guidelines.
- Commit to continuous professional growth through education and collaboration with peers.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
- Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Expertise in evidence-based therapy methods for all demographics, with a solid grasp of developmental and acquired communication and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills when interacting with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Adept at adjusting therapeutic methods to cater to diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
