Supp;ly Chain Buyer- URGENT!

Supply Chain Buyer – Temp / Temp‑to‑Hire Location: El Segundo, CA – fully onsite. Compensation: $35‑40 per hour, temporary position up to 3 months (no relocation offered). Responsibilities Own the Order Lifecycle – Create, release, and manage purchase orders based on MRP signals and production requirements, keeping open order and shortage reports accurate and up to date. Expedite & Recover – Identify late and at‑risk shipments, hold suppliers accountable to firm commit dates, and coordinate partial shipments or premium freight when warranted. Keep Freight Moving – Partner with logistics teams, freight forwarders, and carriers to track shipments from supplier dock to receipt, resolving any delays or documentation issues. Be the Voice of Inbound Supply – Serve as the go‑to contact for material availability, communicating shortages and recovery plans clearly to planning and operations teams. Qualifications 2‑5 years of tactical buying or supply‑chain operations experience. Solid Excel skills (VLOOKUPs & Pivot Tables). ERP experience (NetSuite a plus). Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience in defense or aerospace industry is an advantage. Strong sense of urgency and ownership.
