Director of Manufacturing Operations

Steel fabrication company with around 500 employees in six locations needs a Director of Manufacturing Operations. You will develop goals and processes for operations improvement. Experience with structural steel, machinery, automotive, or materials handling systems would be a suitable fit. Experience working in an operation that involves welding is a big plus. Your goal in running the organization will be to produce high quality products, manage increased volumes, and optimize facility, equipment, and manpower performance. You will manage the performance of manufacturing, engineering, materials, quality, IT, human resources, and finance, ensuring that business and cost targets are met. Provide leadership for employee development, process ownership, and accountability. Align objectives within each function to achieve the business strategic goals including safety, quality, reliability, productivity, and people development. Make decisions about operating and capital budget (P&L). Understand and ensure all regulatory compliance standards are met. Ensure that technical objectives are met and any roadblocks or issues are quickly resolved. This Dallas-area position requires approximately 50% travel. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or equivalent. Requires manufacturing experience of 7 plus years with 5 years operations leadership. Experience in change management, process improvement and optimization.
