Commercial Lender – Growth Market Opportunity (Terrebonne Parish)A growing Louisiana-based community bank is seeking an experienced Commercial Lender to help expand and develop a new growth market in Terrebonne Parish market. This is a high-visibility opportunity for a motivated lender who enjoys business development, relationship management, and building a territory with strong support from executive leadership and an established underwriting team.This role is ideal for a self-starter with strong Commercial Real Estate (CRE) and Commercial & Industrial (C&I) lending experience who can independently develop relationships, grow a portfolio, and become a long-term leader within the organization. This opportunity also offers potential future advancement into market leadership.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and grow commercial banking relationships throughout the Lafayette market and surrounding areasBuild and manage a portfolio of CRE, C&I, and business banking relationshipsGenerate new loan and deposit opportunities through business development and community involvementStructure, negotiate, and present commercial credit requests for approvalMaintain strong credit quality while managing client relationships throughout the lending processPartner with underwriting and credit teams to ensure timely loan processing and portfolio managementExpand the bank's presence in a developing territory with support from executive leadershipRepresent the bank within the local business community and professional organizationsCross-sell treasury management, deposit, and other banking solutions to commercial clientsQualificationsApproximately 5+ years of commercial lending experience preferredExperience with CRE and C&I lending requiredAbility to independently manage and grow a commercial portfolioExisting business development network and ability to bring relationships preferredStrong understanding of credit analysis, loan structuring, and risk managementSelf-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with strong communication skillsCommunity banking background preferredCompensation & BenefitsBase salary range approximately $150,000 – $200,000 depending on experience and portfolioIncentive/bonus program availableMileage reimbursement and phone allowanceCompany credit card provided3–4 weeks PTO depending on level/titleStrong internal underwriting support teamOpportunity for future advancement into market leadership rolesIf you're ready to join a strong, locally based bank that believes in personal service, community roots, and genuine growth opportunities — we'd love to meet you.Apply today and start building your future right here in Terrebonne Parish.
