Sheet Metal Technician

Job Title: Sheet Metal Technician
Pay: $25-$33
Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC laser cutting machines
• Operate traditional sheet metal equipment, including manual press brakes, shears, punches, and saws
• Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and work orders
• Select proper materials, tooling, and machine settings for each job
• Perform first-article and in-process inspections to ensure quality standards
• Measure parts using calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and gauges
• Load and unload raw materials and finished parts

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of experience in sheet metal fabrication or laser operation
• Experience with CNC laser cutting machines
• Working knowledge of manual press brakes and traditional sheet metal equipment
• Ability to read blueprints and understand tolerances
• Proficiency with inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges

Work Environment
The work environment is a temperature-controlled, clean facility. Work hours are from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. The dress code includes wearing polo or long sleeve shirts and steel-toed boots.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $68640.00/yr.
