Diesel Mechanic – Temp-to-HireWe are seeking experienced Diesel Mechanics to join our team in the San Francisco Bay Area. This is a full-time temporary-to-hire opportunity for skilled mechanics with at least two years of diesel mechanic experience. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing diesel-powered equipment, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.ResponsibilitiesPerform inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on diesel-powered equipment and vehicles.Diagnose mechanical issues and determine appropriate repair solutions.Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing.Identify worn, damaged, or defective components and replace or repair them as needed.Use diagnostic equipment and standard mechanic tools to troubleshoot mechanical systems.Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance.Follow all company safety procedures and applicable workplace regulations.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.Perform other mechanic-related duties as assigned.Qualifications2+ years of diesel mechanic experience required.Completion of a Diesel Mechanic training or certification program is a plus.Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.Ability to use standard tools of the trade.Ability to work safely and efficiently in a hands-on environment.Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.Ability to work a full-time, 40-hour schedule.Required PPE & ToolsCandidates are expected to provide or have access to standard tools of the trade.Required PPE includes:Hard hatSteel-toe bootsSafety glassesPre-Employment RequirementsSelected candidates will be required to complete applicable pre-employment requirements, including:Drug testBackground checkPre-hire screeningMarijuana: Not permitted under the client’s requirements.Schedule & OrientationHours: 40 hours per weekShift: Assigned shiftOrientation: Scheduled as neededTraining: Conducted on the assigned shiftThis position is structured as a temporary-to-hire opportunity, providing qualified candidates the potential to transition into a permanent position based on performance, attendance, and business needs.
