Supervisor Social Services

Position Overview Supervisor of Social Services for families with children shelters in the Bronx, located at Echo Place, Bronx, NY 10457. Salary: USD $85,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., with flexibility and on-call responsibilities. Responsibilities Overall management and supervision of the clinical unit, including case managers, vocational case manager, and housing specialist. Coordinate client services and develop and implement policies and procedures. Establish goals and objectives and work closely with the Program Director to plan, implement, and monitor HRA and other funding/licensing agency services. Actively promote staff development and team building. Performance Standards Effective Communication: convey information clearly and concisely to supervisors, staff, and co‑workers. Critical Thinking: drive improvements, anticipate change, and adjust accordingly. Flexibility: adapt to changing circumstances and respond to challenges. Innovation: develop new approaches, question conventional methods, and encourage creative thinking. Role Model: shape the shelter’s vision and work with multidisciplinary team. Teamwork: lead and direct a cohesive team. Qualifications LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker). Master’s degree from an accredited institution, major in social work. Three years of supervisory/managerial experience. Work experience in mental health, child welfare, child development, or related fields. Strong knowledge of psychodynamics, group work, case work, health systems, and human/child development. Experience working with trauma and understanding PTSD and trauma‑informed care. Strong supervisory, problem‑solving, written and oral communication skills. Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
