You will be leading a class of students through the school year, assessing their current academic level, and designing instruction to meet students’ collective and individual needs. If you love working with young children and creating engaging learning experiences that support their development, we would love to hear from you! Responsibilities Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons and activities Support children’s social, emotional, language, and cognitive development Observe and document children’s progress Maintain positive communication with families Work collaboratively with teachers and staff Follow state licensing and health & safety requirements Must be able to use CTELDs guide to plan weekly lesson plans Must be able to use CTDOTs to do assessment Professional Appearance Requirement: Employees are expected to maintain a professional appearance while working with children and families. Visible facial piercings are not permitted during working hours and must be removed prior to the start of each shift. Qualifications Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education.
