We are hiring Sit-Down Forklift Operators for a busy warehouse in Delray Beach. Candidates will operate a forklift for most of the shift, move materials, and support shipping and receiving operations.

Job Description

This role involves operating a sit-down forklift throughout the shift to support warehouse operations in a high-volume facility. You will handle material movement, unloading, and general warehouse tasks while working safely and efficiently in varying temperature conditions. The position offers structured training during the first one to two weeks and the opportunity to transition from a temporary to a long-term role based on performance and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Operate a sit-down TOYOTA Electric Sit Down 3000 lbs. capacity forklift safely and efficiently for the majority of the shift.
• Load, unload, and move materials, pallets, and products throughout the warehouse.
• Support material handling activities, including staging, organizing, and relocating inventory as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and warehouse guidelines while operating equipment and performing daily tasks.
• Work effectively in different areas of the building, adapting to cold, damp, or hot conditions as required.
• Participate in initial training during the first one to two weeks to learn site-specific processes and standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient warehouse operations.
• Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow and address issues promptly.
• Demonstrate consistent attendance, punctuality, and reliability in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience operating a sit-down electric forklift in a warehouse or similar environment.
• Strong overall warehouse experience and tenure, with a history of long-term roles in warehouse operations.
• Ability to perform material handling tasks, including loading, unloading, and moving products safely.
• Comfort working full shifts on a sit-down forklift.
• Willingness and ability to work either first shift (7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) or second shift (4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.), as assigned.
• Commitment to following safety procedures and operational guidelines.

Work Environment

• This position is based in a warehouse facility where you will operate a sit-down forklift for most of your shift.
• The role offers two primary shifts: a first shift from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and a second shift from 4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.
• The environment can vary by area of the building, with some sections being cold or damp and others warmer or hot, so you should be comfortable working in changing temperature conditions.
• You will work around standard warehouse equipment and materials, focusing on safe forklift operation and material handling throughout the day.
• The setting is fast-paced and production-oriented, with clear safety expectations and structured training during your first one to two weeks.

This is a Contract position based out of Delray Beach, FL.

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
