Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Operations in Newark, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and customers. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and report observations while working with integrity, reliability, innovation, and teamwork.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate activity and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, law enforcement, and/or emergency responders while supporting a professional environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
