LANDSCAPE DESIGNER

Shakopee, Minnesota, United States (Hybrid Schedule - In-Office & On-Site with Flexibility for Remote Work) Full-Time Year-Round Mom's Design Build Job Description Reporting to the Director of Operations and CEO, the Landscape Designer oversees the full design development process from start to finish. This includes selling projects, consulting with clients, creating original designs, and coordinating installation, all while building strong, professional relationships with clients throughout the project. Responsibilities Create innovative designs that balance budget, aesthetics, functionality, structural integrity, financial goals, and environmental considerations Produce 3D Renderings Present and sell designs to clients Order and coordinate delivery of specialty products (garden ornaments, water plants, fountains, etc.) with the assistance of Project Coordinators Develop and maintain complete and accurate client files Negotiate contract disputes, change orders, and customer service issues Resolve complex problems with sound judgment Build and maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors and suppliers Serve as the communication link between the operations manager, landscape crew lead, project manager, suppliers, and clients Communicate all aspects of the landscape installation to the landscape crew lead Oversee the installation process to ensure proper execution and client satisfaction Prepare punch lists and change orders for each project Collect client payments at project start and completion Utilize business software such as BuilderTrend platforms, Microsoft Office, SketchUp and QuickBooks Provide weekly updates to the Director of Operations on completed tasks, upcoming goals, and required reports (sales, mileage, etc.) Participate in weekly meetings with fellow designers and office staff Job Requirements 2+ years of experience in landscape design or a related field Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in project management software Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities Knowledge of horticulture Rendering capabilities Benefits Paid Time Off Starting at 10 Days Per Year Health Insurance Paid 50% by Mom’s Design Build Dental Insurance (Employee Funded) Retirement Plan/401K Matching After 1 Year of Employment Professional Development Opportunities Employee Discount Employee Recruitment Bonus Opportunities Company-Wide Social Events The Culture at Mom’s Mom’s Design Build is the most award-winning Design Build firm in the Midwest!
