Area Vice President, Solutions Engineering

DescriptionAbout the RoleWe’re seeking a sharp, trusted, and highly autonomous Area Vice President, Solutions Engineering to help drive NinjaOne’s continued growth across the enterprise market. This is a builder role and an opportunity to help shape how we engage complex enterprise customers across the region while developing and guiding Solutions Engineers supporting the business. You will play a key role in defining technical engagement models, scaling enterprise technical wins, and setting the standard for pre-sales excellence across North America. As a player and coach, you will own the strategic technical relationship with prospects, customers, and partners while partnering closely with Enterprise Sales to influence deal strategy and drive measurable impact. You will lead and develop a team of Solutions Engineers while remaining hands-on in complex opportunities, ensuring customers clearly understand the value of the NinjaOne platform and how it supports their IT operations at scale. You will collaborate closely with Sales Leadership, Enablement, Product, and Customer teams to ensure alignment across the technical sales motion while helping build the playbooks, tools, and repeatable processes that allow the enterprise business to scale across the region.Location: Hybrid - Remote in Austin, TX Travel: ~30%, including strategic customer meetings, industry events, and internal collaborationWhat You’ll be DoingOwn the full pre-sales technical experience across the enterprise space in North America, guiding prospects through evaluation, product demos, architecture design, and proof-of-concept stagesCollaborate closely with Account Executives and Sales Leadership to drive regional growth and align technical value to customer infrastructure and operational goalsLead and mentor Solutions Engineers supporting the region while remaining hands-on in strategic deals, stepping into complex technical evaluations, architecture discussions, and proof-of-concept engagements where executive technical leadership is neededOwn the technical strategy, identifying repeatable technical patterns across opportunities and translating those insights into scalable pre-sales playbooks, demo standards, and enablement for the broader SE teamPartner with onboarding and Customer Success teams to accelerate time-to-value and ensure long-term adoption across large, distributed enterprise environmentsSupport the review and alignment of technical content within RFIs, and customer evaluation processes providing subject matter expertise without owning full proposal managementServe as a strategic voice between Sales and Product surfacing regional customer feedback identifying feature gaps and influencing roadmap directionBuild and maintain reusable technical assets including lab environments, demo flows, battlecards, and scripts to support a scalable AE-to-SE modelRepresent NinjaOne at regional industry events, conferences, and customer forumsHelp shape the future of the Enterprise SE function contributing to playbooks, processes, and cross-functional alignment across the organizationOther duties as assignedTechnical RequirementsProficiency in Windows environments, registry services performance troubleshootingFamiliarity with Linux and macOS systems and basic command-line troubleshootingStrong understanding of networking concepts including DNS VPNs firewalls and endpoint protectionsHands-on experience with RMM tools ITSM platforms and endpoint lifecycle managementScripting experience in PowerShell, JavaScript, and or VBScript is strongly preferredComfortable navigating complex IT ecosystems and integrating with existing infrastructureExperience with Salesforce, Jira, Highspot, or equivalent systemsAbout You10+ years in pre-sales engineering, solutions architecture, or technical consulting supporting enterprise B2B SaaS customersExperience leading and developing Solutions Engineers while maintaining hands-on credibility in complex enterprise or public sector sales cyclesEvolved from a technical background such as TAM, support, or systems engineer with practical insight into IT operations at scale across the enterprise spaceRecognized authority in a technical domain or market segment with the ability to shape technical strategy and guide complex public sector opportunities to technical closeStrong communicator with executive presence able to tailor messaging for administrators, technical staff, and agency leadershipDeep domain knowledge in IT operations, RMM, endpoint management, and ITSM-adjacent platforms within the public sectorUnderstands how IT teams in enterprise environments evaluate, procure, and scale solutions along with insight into procurement processes and compliance considerationsKnown for high emotional intelligence, technical credibility, and a customer-first mindsetOperates with adaptability and urgency excelling in fast-paced high-growth environmentsBachelor’s degree preferred but not required Technical certifications such as CISSP, Security+, or cloud architecture are a plusEmbodies NinjaOne’s values Curiosity, Integrity, Kindness, Humility, Builders and contributes to an environment where these values thriveAbout UsNinjaOne unifies IT to simplify work for nearly 40,000 customers in 140+ countries. ​The NinjaOne Unified IT Operations Platform delivers endpoint management, autonomous patching, backup, and remote access in a single console to improve efficiency, increase resilience, and reduce spend.
