Worth, TX 76104 Physical Therapy department Work hours: PRN: On an as needed basis, coverage between Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM, with some weekends and holidays. Acute care experience preferred, but New Grads are welcome! PT - Physical Therapist Texas - Physical Therapy License Upon Hire Required BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required Good verbal and written communication skills in English. Problem‑solving ability, Ability to teach others and Time management skills. Good interpersonal and customer service skills, Basic leadership skills Staff Certifications: Geriatric Clinical Specialists (ABPTS) Orthopedic Clinical Specialists (ABPTS) Wound Management Clinical Specialist (ABPTS) Certified lymphedema therapists Certified hand therapists What You Will Do Performs age‑appropriate patient assessment and establishes plan of care. Performs treatment procedures/techniques that are within the scope of the professional license. Educates patient and family through instruction, demonstration, and/or appropriate handouts in treatment plan, safety issues, home programs/self‑management and assistive equipment. Initiates therapy discharge planning in collaboration with care team and patient based on prognosis and expected discharge disposition. Attends and/or leads hospital, department, and community meetings / educational in‑services.
