Data Engineer

Location San Antonio, TX Duration 6 months Duties Develop and support data applications, APIs, web services, and microservices. Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain complex Python applications. Build REST APIs using FastAPI and integrate relational databases. Support CI/CD workflows, version control, and modern data platform technologies. Skills Python, FastAPI, PyTest MS SQL or relational databases REST API, Web Services, Microservices Git and GitLab/CI/CD Kafka, containerization, OpenShift/Kubernetes Analytics, NLP, and big data technologies Experience Hands-on Data Engineering/Application Development experience. Strong Python development and API architecture experience. Experience with unit testing, databases, Git, and CI/CD. Insurance industry experience preferred. Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field preferred. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
