Travel Clinical Laboratory Scientist in Covington

Job Description Travel Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) position in Covington, Louisiana. Start date: 07/06/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. 40 hours per week, 10‑hour night shifts. Employment type: Travel. Qualifications Active certification through ASCP, AMT, HEW, or AAB. At least eighteen months experience as a Medical Laboratory Technologist or Technician. State license may be required. Basic grasp of scientific laboratory procedures, including use of laboratory equipment and generation of reports from laboratory tests. Responsibilities Examine specimens for bacteria, viruses, or parasites. Measure drug or chemical levels in blood to ensure therapeutic dosing. Assess chemical content of blood to determine nutrient deficiencies or cholesterol/blood sugar excesses. Operate cell counters, cultures, microscopes, and other laboratory equipment.
