Locums - Ft. Walton Beach, Florida | Hospitalist Opportunity
Seeking an experienced Internal Medicine Hospitalist for a locums opportunity in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. This is a day rounder position with an open ICU and an intensivist team on-site. No procedures are required.
Assignment Details
- Start Date: January 1, 2027
- Contract Length: 3 months
- Schedule: 7-on/7-off
- Shift: 6:00 am-6:00 pm
- Late Call: 3:00 pm-6:00 pm, approximately 3-4 times per week
- Patient Volume: Approximately 21-25 patients per physician
- Admissions: Approximately 3-4 per physician daily
- Consults: Approximately 1-2 daily; volume varies
- ICU: Open ICU with intensivist team on-site
- Procedures: Not required
- Support: APPs are available but work in Psychiatry and do not assist with admissions
- Orientation: Orientation, EMR training, and shadow shift
- Requirements: Internal Medicine trained, hospitalist experience, and active Florida license
