Palliative Care Physician

Benefis Health System, one of Montana's largest health systems, is seeking a compassionate and collaborative Palliative Care Physician to join their established interdisciplinary team in Great Falls, Montana. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient palliative care services, focusing on improving the quality of life for individuals facing serious illness. The physician will partner with specialists, primary care providers, patients, and families within a supportive and collaborative environment. Practice Info Join an experienced interdisciplinary palliative care team of 2 physicians (1 relocating) and 3 nurse practitioners. Provide consultation services for hospitalized patients with complex chronic and serious illnesses. Opportunity to develop and expand outpatient palliative care services. Collaborate closely with oncology, cardiology, pulmonology, neurology, nephrology, critical care, hospital medicine, and primary care providers. Focus on symptom management, goals-of-care discussions, advance care planning, and support for patients and families. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care coordination. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient palliative care services. Partner with specialists, primary care providers, patients, and families to improve quality of life. Provide consultation services for hospitalized patients with complex chronic and serious illnesses. Collaborate closely with various medical specialties. Focus on symptom management, goals-of-care discussions, advance care planning, and support for patients and families. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care coordination. Shift & Schedule 4-day work week (10 hour shifts) No weekends No call Requirements MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Completion of an accredited residency program in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or another qualifying specialty. Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Montana. Strong communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills.
