About the Position

Job Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years of recent Level I or II emergency department experience and/or 2+ years of recent Level 3 or 4 emergency department experience. License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS (must be active and unexpired) Must-Have: Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocks. Pass a telemetry test on Day 1 with a score of 85% or higher. Description: Position requires working 12-hour night shifts from 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Schedule includes two weekends in a four-week period and every other holiday. Must be flexible and willing to float to different areas, including Psych ED and Pedi ED. Experience with patients aged 15 and older in pediatrics is required unless previous pediatric experience is documented. The emergency department is very busy, with up to 120 treatment areas and serves 350-440 patients per day. Travelers will not be assigned to trauma rooms during their assignment. Patient ratio is 1:4-5, depending on acuity. Previous experience with EPIC and critical care is preferred.
