Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PreOp / PACU - Post Anesthesia Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/18/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Preoperative and PACU Registered Nurse Schedule On-call requirements include roughly 3-4 weeknight calls and one 24-hour weekend call in an 8-week period. Weeknight call hours are from 9 PM to 7 AM, while weekend call hours are from 7 AM to 7 AM. Shifts may vary and are scheduled as follows: 6 AM - 6:30 PM 7 AM - 7:30 PM 8 AM - 8:30 PM 9 AM - 9:30 PM Job Description The Preoperative and PACU Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care in a community hospital setting with 7 operating rooms. The specialties supported include Neuro, Plastics, ENT, Breast, General, GYN, Urology, Ortho, Vascular, and Endoscopy. Responsibilities Assess and prepare patients for surgery, ensuring optimal preoperative care. Monitor patients in the PACU, administering medications and interventions as required. Collaborate with surgical and anesthetic teams to ensure patient safety and comfort. Educate patients and families on postoperative care and recovery processes. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Registered Nurse (RN) license required. Current certifications in Life Support (BLS, ACLS) preferred.
