Position Summary
Join us as a talented and empathetic Sonography / Ultrasound Technologist within a thriving imaging team devoted to delivering exceptional care. You will harness cutting-edge ultrasound technology to conduct diagnostic examinations, collaborate with a network of dedicated healthcare professionals, and provide invaluable reassurance to patients through precise and timely imaging.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct a diverse range of ultrasound examinations, notably abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
- Prioritize patient comfort and safety throughout procedures, articulating each phase with sensitivity and thorough understanding
- Partner seamlessly with radiologists and referred physicians to procure top-quality diagnostic images
- Manage and maintain ultrasound equipment, addressing any technical issues promptly
- Document procedures accurately and maintain comprehensive patient records within the electronic medical records system
- Keep abreast of advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques and continues to improve practices
Educational background:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related discipline
- Preferably, completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography training program
Required certifications:
- Valid certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or similar
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification favored
Necessary skills:
- Proficient in sonographic imaging techniques and patient positioning
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as effectively with a multidisciplinary team
