Dermatology Opportunity in Decatur, Illinois

Academic Appointment | 4-Day Clinic Schedule | Light Call

Practice Dermatology in a collaborative academic environment where you can balance patient care with teaching. With dedicated academic time, a strong referral base, and an established residency program, this position provides the flexibility to build a fulfilling long-term career.

Practice Overview:

• Academic and clinical Dermatology position with resident involvement (9 residents in the program)
• Mohs surgeon on staff; Mohs program and education in place
• High-volume clinic model: approximately 100 patients/day with 15-minute visits
• Call is 1:6 and described as very light

Schedule:

• Clinic hours: 8:00am-4:30pm
• 4 days in clinic, 1 day dedicated to academics
• Call schedule: 1:6 (very light)
• Clinic visit structure: 15-minute appointments

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base salary: $90K (academics) and $225K (clinical)
• Signing bonus: $5K-$10K; retention bonus: $20K after 3 years
• Quarterly incentives (paid quarterly); year 2 income potential noted as $400K
• 5 weeks vacation accrued; sick time accrues 1 day every 2 weeks; CME: $3K (additional funds if needed); 8-9 insurance plan options

Candidate Requirements:

• Dermatologist (American Board of Dermatology diplomate or board-eligible)
• Illinois medical license required or eligible
• Visa support: accepts O-1 and H-1B; not accepting J-1
• Comfort with a high-volume clinic pace (15-minute visits)
