Forklift Operator - Freezer (Inbound)

As a Reach Lift Operator, you will use a piece of equipment called a Reach Lift to move products within the warehouse and put‑away product in the correct slot. The lift is designed for narrow aisles, enabling operators to reach high shelves while maintaining stability. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring products are readily available for various teams within the warehouse. Schedule Overnight shifts available Monday – Friday Start time 11:00 pm or 12:00 am, 8‑hour shifts Overtime available during high‑volume periods; work until job completion Compensation & Benefits Full‑time position Starting pay $21.00 per hour Weekend shift differential $2.00 per hour Overnight shift differential $1.25 per hour Freezer premium $2.00 per hour Scheduled pay increases: $1.00 per hour after 1 year, $1.50 per hour after 2 years Weekly paychecks 401(k) with company match Tuition reimbursement Wellness program Key Responsibilities Report to the inbound office at the start of each shift for daily assignments, vehicle inspections, and replenishment discrepancy sheets Replenish pick slots using the view request screen or manual replenish screen as needed Perform knockdowns for selectors, cutting and removing shrink wrap Maintain accurate counts and log discrepancies in inventory Verify correct product placement in pick locations Remove empty pallets, separate good, bad, and blue pallets, and stage them neatly Keep area clean and free of debris Operate the lift safely and efficiently Park and recharge the lift in its designated spot at the end of the shift Inform lead, supervisor, or manager of any safety violations or policy breaches Perform duties in accordance with HACCP and SQF policies and procedures as applicable Job Requirements Must be 18 years of age or older Understanding of safety guidelines Strong knowledge of backup functions and RF systems Previous forklift experience Good judgment; ability to work with limited direct supervision Physical Profile Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently Exposure to temperatures ranging from –20 °F to 35 °F in Perishable Operations and 37 °F to 90 °F in Grocery Operations Ability to perform repetitive arm, wrist, and hand movements Ability to work with hands and arms overhead, and in or under equipment Manual dexterity, overall coordination, and balance for both ground level and high‑place work Vision requirements: close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment EEO Statement UNFI is an Equal Opportunity employer committed to creating an inclusive and respectful environment for all.
