Operations Manager

We are looking for an Operations Manager to join our team in Le Sueur, Minnesota. This position is suited for a manufacturing operations leader who can direct permanent mold and die casting activities while balancing output, product quality, workplace safety, and cost performance. The role works closely with production, engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to strengthen daily execution and support ongoing operational improvements.Responsibilities:• Direct daily permanent mold and die casting production to keep operations running efficiently and aligned with customer demand.• Coordinate staffing, workflow, and shop floor priorities to meet schedule commitments and improve throughput.• Track equipment performance, downtime, and productivity trends, then take action to raise overall operating efficiency.• Oversee tooling changes, die setup activities, and process troubleshooting to maintain stable production conditions.• Partner with quality personnel to investigate defects, address root causes, and introduce preventive measures that reduce scrap and rework.• Work with maintenance teams to limit unplanned downtime and identify opportunities for equipment enhancements or capital improvements.• Lead supervisors, technicians, and operators by providing coaching, performance feedback, and training in safety, quality, and process discipline.• Enforce plant safety expectations and support compliance with environmental and operational standards related to metal handling and manufacturing processes.• Manage departmental spending by monitoring labor, material consumption, and energy usage while supporting cost-reduction initiatives.• Use business systems such as Epicor and reporting tools to support data-based decisions and operational planning.
