Job Summary: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse Michigan (Jackson). Responsible for providing leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to delegate, supervise, and document patient care and patient/family teaching, while effectively communicating pertinent information to the healthcare team. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; minimum 2 years previous ICU experience; clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the unit/department to which staff is assigned; ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services; ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN); previous experience in a trauma level 2 facility.
• Additional Information: Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and family; effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to the healthcare team; participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.
