Job Description

In this role, you will serve as a floater, assisting the manufacturing floor as needed. The facility specializes in producing high-performance building materials such as siding, trim, and shingles, which are known for their durability. Your daily tasks will vary and may include building and rebuilding wooden pallets using power tools, organizing and cleaning the warehouse and production floor, picking up debris like nails and wood, performing visual inspections of products to ensure quality, using a computer to track data, and assisting operators by delivering the correct materials to them.

Responsibilities

• Organize and clean both the warehouse and production floor
• Pick up debris such as nails, wood, and trash
• Complete visual inspections of products to ensure quality
• Track data using a computer
• Assist operators by bringing correct materials to them
• Help out as needed or as asked

Essential Skills

• Ability to work in a physical environment, including crouching, kneeling, lifting, pushing, and pulling
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Coachable attitude

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in construction, warehouse, laborer, or manufacturing settings

Work Environment

The work environment is typical of a manufacturing setting, comparable to a toll brothers facility. Training shift for the first two weeks will be from 6:30am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday. After the initial training period, the schedule will change to Monday through Thursday from 6:30am to 4:30pm.

This is a Contract position based out of Westfield, MA.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Westfield,MA.
