Residential Wireman

American Electrician has proudly served the Colorado Springs community for over 30 years. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a highly motivated Residential Wireman to join our team and help drive our success into the future.

As a Residential Wireman, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential and/or commercial settings. This role includes troubleshooting electrical issues, ensuring all work meets code requirements, and providing safe, reliable service to customers or job sites.


Responsibilities Include:

• Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and equipment
• Diagnose electrical problems using testing devices such as meters and circuit testers
• Install and troubleshoot lighting systems, outlets, switches, breakers, and panels
• Perform routine inspections of electrical systems
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams
• Ensure all installations and repairs comply with local, state, and national electrical codes

Requirements

• 2+ years of electrical service and repair experience
• Valid Residential Wireman license
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components and installations
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Ability to follow safety protocols
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work as part of a team and take direction
• Attention to detail
• Neat and clean presentation
• Great work ethic
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
