Data Engineer

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Data Engineer Position type: Contract Location: Remote As a Data Engineer, you will: Job Summary The role will focus on managing large-scale, secure data transfers, maintaining platform health, optimizing performance, and ensuring compliance with security and governance standards (HIPAA, NIST, Zero Trust). The contractor will collaborate closely with internal teams and stakeholders to establish operational processes, support production readiness, and deliver documentation and knowledge transfer to enable long-term ownership by the Enterprise Interfaces team. Essential Job Responsibilities Completing Globus Connect Server (GCS) deployment Configuring storage gateways and data transfer workflows Onboarding research users Providing Tier 1/2 operational support The ideal candidate will have: Globus Managed File Transfer (MFT) platform within a GCP-hosted Data DMZ environment. Required Skills & Qualifications 3+ years of experience with the Globus platform (GCS v5, endpoints, collections) Experience with networking, security, and Zero Trust principles Background in MFT or large-scale data transfer environments. Linux system administration and scripting (Bash) Exposure to Terraform / Infrastructure as Code (IaC) or Azure DevOps Preferred Skills & Qualifications Familiarity with SailPoint or other identity governance tools Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools Thank you!
