North St. Paul Area
$25+ per hour | Weekly Pay | Full Benefits
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special needs? We're hiring compassionate and dependable Special Education Paraprofessionals to support students in elementary, middle, and high school settings throughout the North St. Paul area.
You'll have the opportunity to work in specialized classrooms serving students with autism, emotional and behavioral disabilities, developmental disabilities, transition programs for young adults, and other intensive special education environments.

Consistent school schedule with weekends, holidays, and school breaks off
Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with disabilities
Assist students with academics, communication, behavior, social skills, and daily living skills
Support students in autism, behavioral support, resource, transition, and intensive special education classrooms
Implement behavior intervention plans and reinforce positive behaviors
Assist with classroom instruction, transitions, vocational activities, and community-based learning when applicable
Support students during arrival, dismissal, lunch, recess, and throughout the school day
Assist with toileting, diaper changing, feeding, mobility, and other personal care needs as required
Collect student progress and behavior data under the direction of licensed staff
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other special education professionals to help students achieve their goals
Help maintain a safe, positive, and structured learning environment
Qualifications
Candidates must meet one of the following Minnesota paraprofessional requirements:
Complete at least 60 college semester credits
Hold an associate's degree or higher
Pass a state-approved formal academic assessment
Additional qualifications include:
Experience working with children is preferred
Experience supporting individuals with disabilities is highly preferred and may come from a school, clinic, hospital, ABA, residential, in-home, daycare, or family caregiving setting
Comfortable assisting with toileting, diaper changing, feeding, and other personal care responsibilities
Patient, dependable, flexible, and able to support students with a wide variety of academic, behavioral, and developmental needs
