Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit

Department: Progressive Care Unit Daily Work Times: 7:00 pm – 7:30 am Shift : Nights Scheduled Bi-Weekly Hours: 72 Benefits: 403(b) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Position Summary: The registered nurse is a professional nurse who coordinates the delivery of nursing care for monitored patients during their hospital stay including cardiac monitoring, hemodynamic stabilization, responsive to emergent situations and care of evidence-based medicine patients. The registered nurse ensures that quality nursing care is rendered to all patients in accordance with the Michigan Department of Public Health, the medical center and nursing department standards. Utilizing the nursing process, functions primarily in direct patient care. The registered nurse participates in maintaining a safe patient care environment, maintains patient privacy, dignity, confidentiality and respects patient’s rights. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Performs purposeful hourly rounding including: Pain, Position, Personal needs and Possessions Applies the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and discharge needs of patient/family Triages patients in accordance with Emergency Severity Index (ESI) minor to critical recommendations Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Must possess valid State of Michigan Nursing License BLS certified ACLS certified within 6 months of hire Completed and is certified (up-to-date) in Basic Arrhythmia Preferred: Previous experience in acute care center Telemetry experience BSN in Nursing Additional Information Schedule: Full-time Requisition ID: 26010448 Daily Work Times: 7pm to 7:30am Hours Per Pay Period: 72 On Call: No Weekends: Yes #J-18808-Ljbffr
