Physical Therapist

*Adult Physiatrist - Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation* *Columbia, South Carolina* Prisma Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, SC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physiatrist to join our team at our American College of Surgeons verified Level 1 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center. The ideal candidate will primarily focus on inpatient consults, providing expert care to patients with a wide range of physical and neurological conditions. There may also be opportunities for outpatient follow-up care. *Key Responsibilities:* * Conduct inpatient consultations for patients with physical and neurological impairments, including those recovering from trauma and stroke. * Develop and implement comprehensive rehabilitation plans tailored to individual patient needs. * Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including neurologists, orthopedic surgeons, trauma surgeons, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals. * Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. * Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding rehabilitation processes and goals. * Liaison with rehabilitation centers to ensure smooth transitions of care. * Participate in rotating schedules to ensure coverage 7 days a week. * Potentially provide outpatient follow-up care to ensure continuity of care. *Benefits* * Competitive salary commensurate with experience * Paid Relocation * Malpractice with tail coverage * Professional expense allowance * Generous benefits including retirement, health, dental and vision coverage. * Public Service Loan Forgiveness Employer Prisma Health, the largest not-for-profit healthcare provider in South Carolina, is a progressive and highly integrated academic health care delivery system committed to medical excellence through clinical care, education, and research.
