JOB DESCRIPTION: SALES ASSOCIATE

As a Sales Associate, you'll bring the IT'SUGAR brand to life by creating memorable customer experiences, maintaining an engaging store environment, and helping every guest leave with a smile.

Responsibilities:

· Greet every customer promptly and enthusiastically while building genuine connections through friendly conversation and personalized service.

· Deliver knowledgeable product recommendations, answer questions, and assist customers in finding the perfect treats and gifts.

· Use consultative selling techniques to recommend complementary products and enhance the customer experience while supporting individual and store sales goals.

· Create memorable moments by entertaining customers through product samples, where applicable.

· Proactively engage customers at checkout by introducing the IT'SUGAR loyalty program, communicating its benefits, and encouraging enrollment to enhance the customer experience.

· Accurately and efficiently operate the point-of-sale (POS) system while processing customer transactions

· Execute merchandising standards and maintain visual displays in accordance with company guidelines.

· Assist with floor moves, seasonal resets, new product launches, promotions, and special events.

· Receive, unpack, stock, organize, and replenish merchandise throughout the store and stockroom.

· Follow all food safety and safe food handling procedures when stocking, handling, sampling, and merchandising edible products to help maintain product quality and comply with company standards.

· Maintain cleanliness throughout the sales floor, stockroom, checkout area, breakroom, and restrooms, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, sanitizing, and other housekeeping tasks.

· Follow all Loss Prevention (LP) policies and procedures and promptly communicate safety or LP concerns to store leadership.

· Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

· Must be at least 18 years of age.

· Retail experience is not required—we're happy to train the right candidate.

· Positive, outgoing, energetic personality with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

· Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

· Ability to operate a POS/register, handheld devices, and other basic office equipment.

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to remain in a stationary standing position and actively move throughout the store for extended periods, often for the duration of a scheduled shift.

· Frequently walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach above shoulder level, and climb ladders or step stools to stock merchandise and maintain displays.

· Regularly use hands and fingers to handle, grasp, stock, package, and move merchandise, operate a register, and perform cleaning tasks.

· Frequently push, pull, and move carts, fixtures, merchandise, and stock throughout the store.

· Ability to work in both the sales floor and stockroom environments, which may include varying temperatures and confined storage areas.

· Ability to independently lift, carry, and move merchandise weighing up to 25 pounds and up to 50 pounds with assistance.

· Ability to visually inspect merchandise, read labels and screens, and maintain visual merchandising standards.

· Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members in a busy retail environment.

· Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, sanitizing, and handling waste
