# Job Opportunity – Emergency Room Registered Nurse – Austin, Texas Start Date: October 5, 2026
Location: Austin, Texas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 13-week contract, Day shift (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM), 36 or 48 hours per week based on facility approval, rotating weekends, no on-call requirements Highlights: - High-volume, state-of-the-art emergency department featuring 48 private rooms, fast track area, and dedicated behavioral health unit- Manageable patient ratios: 1:4 standard ED, 1:3 for cardiac/trauma cases- Comprehensive case mix including trauma, cardiac, behavioral health, airway support, and critical procedures such as central lines and rapid infusion therapy- Team-oriented environment with 111 staff members supported by active committees and social events- Modern equipment including Alaris pumps, Belmont and Level 1 rapid infusers, and Stryker stretchers- Meditech EMR system Requirements: - Current Texas RN license or compact state RN license- BLS, ACLS, ENPC, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required- Emergency department experience required; trauma experience and inpatient holding experience strongly preferred- Meditech EMR experience preferred- CPI certification preferred- Strong multitasking abilities and self-starter mentality with excellent teamwork skills Why It's a Great Opportunity: Join a robust emergency services team in a thriving metropolitan area where you'll gain exposure to diverse, high-acuity cases while maintaining sustainable patient ratios.
