Location and Work Schedule Location: St. Louis Children’s Hospital, One Children’s Place, St. Louis, MO 63110 This is an onsite position Benefits eligible; Part-time, 24 hours per week Days: three 8-hour shifts; 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (with flexibility as needed) Saturday rotation (generally every 6 weeks) No holidays; No call Additional Preferred Requirements Prior experience with Endocrine patients Prior experience in pediatrics Role Purpose Provides Diabetes and Nutritional educational services and community resources for inpatients and outpatients. Maintains a case load of patients and promotes program development. Responsibilities Monitors patients response and modifies plan of care accordingly. Provides accurate documentation as required. Delivers direct patient care by assessing and evaluating patient's physical, psychosocial and emotional needs. Develops and implements individual plans of care in accordance with the established guidelines and standards of nursing care. Educates patients and their families on how to manage their condition.
