Continuous Improvement Analyst Department: Marketing (MRKT) Employment Type: Full Time Location: San Antonio Reporting To: Stephen Tatarian Description Studies organizational processes and operations and develops quality and efficiency improvements. Responsible for evaluating internal processes and identifies opportunities for improvements. Gathers data for key performance indicators for functions being reviewed, evaluates current state, and proposes future state goals and objectives. Measures results of implemented improvement strategies and modifies continuous improvement programs in response. Assists in the development and delivery of continuous improvement related training programs. The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices daily: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development. Key Responsibilities Analyzes existing processes with focus on identifying gaps, unnecessary steps, and other barriers to success. Provides recommendations to streamline, reducing time and error rates. Tests and implements process improvements in collaboration with customer. Revises process documentation and trains organization in new process. Modifies process over time with continuous evaluation. Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards. Requires regular and punctual employee attendance. Performs other duties as assigned. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Basic understanding of general business processes. Solid working knowledge of subject matter within business framework. Keen communications skills – both written and verbal; demonstrated ability to provide mentorship and coaching to customer. Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint); ability to produce information in spreadsheets, documents, forms, tables, and presentations. MS Visio, Access, and Project a plus. Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills. Exceptional skills in customer service. Strong organization skills, detailed‑oriented, and ability to work on multiple projects. Excellent interpersonal skills to establish working relationships with multiple departments and various levels of the organization. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, coworkers, and customers (internal and external.) Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate; accept direction. Ability to deal effectively with people and elicit support from other department areas, vendors, and customers. Able to organize technical work; demonstrate excellent planning, problem solving, analysis, documentation, presentation, and organization skills; analyze and interpret data, processes and needs based on limited information; organize work and resources; define problems and solutions, prioritize workload; make recommendations; manage time effectively and plan and implement objectives effective. Able to communicate effectively in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; work independently; perform basic math and statistical functions; manage multiple assignments; compose written material; work well under pressure; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail. Ability to develop workflows, process documentation, flow charts, and procedure documentation. Ability to handle moderately complex issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher‑level staff. Education and Experience Minimum of three years of experience leading Process Improvement projects. Minimum one year of experience in an operations environment required. Minimum one year of experience in metrics analysis required. Bachelor's with process improvement experience, or equivalent business experience. Supervisory Responsibilities None Travel No more than 20% travel. No more than 3 times per month. Work Environment This job is generally performed indoors, in a professional office environment. Occasionally works outdoors and may be exposed to weather extremes conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity. May be exposed to high noise levels and areas with inadequate or bright lighting.
