Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Tele PCU - Part Time Days

Position Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Tele PCU – Full Time Days Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231 Work hours: Full Time Days (7AM-7PM) for 36 hrs./week. Weekend and holiday requirements. Cardiac Tele PCU Department Highlights 24 bed post interventional unit mixed with medical telemetry providing comprehensive post interventional cardiac care to patients from admission to discharge. Specialize in care of cardiovascular patients: Heart Failure, AMI and Arrhythmia patients; pre and post interventional patients (Cath, Ablations, & Pacemakers). Self-scheduling helps with work/life balance. AMI program has achieved the trifecta of awards for the 2nd year in a row from the American Heart Association and National Cardiovascular Data. Required Qualifications Diploma Nurse required or Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program required. BSN preferred. One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program. PCU, Step-down Intermediate, Cardiac Tele highly preferred. RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator, and coordinator for quality patient care. Key Responsibilities Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process. Assesses the patient. Plans the care of the patient. Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions. Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care. Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others’ need for information.
