We are seeking a friendly, professional, and welcoming Hostess to join our team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive dining experience by ensuring guests are greeted warmly, seated efficiently, and provided with excellent customer service throughout their visit. The Hostess will maintain a smooth flow of guests in the restaurant, manage reservations, and support the front-of-house team to ensure a seamless experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greeting customers as they walk into the restaurant
• Helping guests with reservations and guiding them to their table
• Giving guests accurate wait time estimates and seating them in the waiting area
• Providing customers with menus and answering any initial questions they may have
• Optimizing seating at different tables to ensure even workload for wait staff
• Handle incoming phone calls professionally, take reservations, answer inquiries, and relay messages to the appropriate staff.
• Ensure the hostess stand, entrance area, and dining area are tidy and well-maintained at all times.
• Ensure that each table is properly set with the appropriate amount of silverware and plates.
• Assist in cleaning and clearing dirty tables, and promptly reset them with the appropriate plates and silverware.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a customer service or restaurant environment is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional appearance and attitude.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations with a calm and friendly demeanor.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift light objects, such as menus or supplies.
• Occasional bending or reaching required.

Availability:

• Availability will include weekend evenings and some weekday evenings, with an increased demand during the week as the season progresses.

Work schedule:

• Weekend availability
• Night shift
