Bilingual Medical Assistant Floater - Full-Time Los Angeles, United States The Staff Pad has partnered with a mission-drivenhealthcare organization providing comprehensive primary care to underservedpopulations in Loas Angeles, CA and we are looking to hire a dependable MedicalAssistant (Floater) to join their Operations team. Reporting to the Clinic Manager, the MedicalAssistant provides clinical and administrative support to patients andhealthcare providers while assisting with daily clinic operations and patientcare needs. As a Medical Assistant – Floater you would need totravel between clinic locations, sometimes with limited advance notice.Assignments may change based on staffing needs, and permanent placement at aspecific clinic is not guaranteed. Schedule: Full-Time What You’ll Do Interviewpatients and obtain, document, and update vital signs and medicalinformation Maintainaccurate patient records, prescriptions, and clinical documentation in EHRand practice management systems, including immunizations and medications Monitormedical supply and material inventory, assist with ordering, and notifythe Clinic Manager when supplies, vaccines, or medications needreplenishment Prepareand maintain clean, organized examination and treatment rooms, includingpositioning and draping patients and preparing instruments, equipment, andsupplies Assistproviders with examinations, procedures, and patient care Clean,disinfect, sterilize, and maintain medical instruments and equipment Operatediagnostic equipment, including X-ray and EKG, and coordinate patienttesting Administerinjections, immunizations, and treatments under provider supervision Performroutine and proficiency laboratory testing, prepare and process specimens,and calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment as required Reviewlaboratory orders and billing for accuracy and communicate results topatients as directed Performhearing screenings, record growth parameters, and provide patientinstructions for tests and procedures Maintainrequired clinical logs, including medication, lead, refrigeratortemperature, scale, and abnormal TB result records Monitorpatient flow and support efficient clinic operations Supportfront desk operations, including patient registration, scheduling,telephone calls, forms, filing, and billing through the PracticeManagement System Participatein chart reviews and other medical assistant quality and complianceactivities Maintainand coordinate medical records, including sending records to other officesas requested Providetranslation assistance or coordinate translation services when needed Travelbetween clinic locations to provide coverage and address staffing needs Assistwith the Indigent Program, including patient forms and coordination withpharmaceutical companies Attendstaff meetings, trainings, and other work-related events Maintainrequired employee health and medical requirements Performother duties as assigned or modified based on business needs Additional Duties: Supportteam and departmental initiatives, meet assigned goals, and participate inprocess improvement Communicateproactively with supervisors and team members Upholdthe organization’s Mission, Vision, and Values through positive andprofessional interactions with patients, staff, and the community Stayinformed of internal policies, procedures, and external matters that mayimpact the organization What We Are Looking For Qualifications: MedicalAssistant Certificate required; certification from an accredited programmeeting ACA requirements strongly preferred CPR,BCLS, OSHA, Phlebotomy, and First Aid certifications required asapplicable to job function or law Twoyears of related experience Knowledgeof medical terminology, pediatric vaccinations, and clinical documentation Experiencewith community organizing and working with underserved populations Experienceworking with diverse and vulnerable communities Additional Skills & Attributes Reliabletransportation BilingualEnglish/Spanish proficiency required, including reading, writing, andspeaking Proficiencywith Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Internet-based software EHRand Practice Management System (PMS) experience strongly preferred Strongcharting, documentation, communication, and report-writing skills Abilityto interpret professional, technical, and regulatory information Stronganalytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills Abilityto maintain confidentiality and accuracy Abilityto follow oral and written instructions, policies, and procedures Abilityto adapt to changing clinic needs and work efficiently Abilityto maintain professional relationships with patients, coworkers, andsupervisors Abilityto gather information, evaluate situations, draw conclusions, and respondappropriately Abilityto perform essential job functions effectively, with reasonableaccommodation as needed for individuals with disabilities Strongvisual acuity, depth perception, color vision, and ability to adjust focus What You Can Expect Occasionallystand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl & lift and/or move up to40 pounds Occasionallywork around moving mechanical parts and electrical hazards Workin a moderately noisy environment If you’re a compassionate and adaptable MedicalAssistant who values teamwork, quality patient care, and serving diversecommunities, this role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact acrossmultiple clinic settings.
