Description:

The position requires the sonographer to rotate to outpatients as needed. Common types of imaging and studies performed include OB/GYN, abdomen, small parts, carotid arteries, DVT studies, renal arteries, and biopsies. The average number of scans or studies per day is approximately 10. The department is equipped with GE L8 and L9 machines. There is no requirement for starting IVs. Radiologists are available in-house from 8 AM to 5 PM. Call requirement includes 1-2 nights of call per week. Weekend work is expected every other weekend, and holiday rotations are required. Scrubs are not provided; teal scrubs are expected. A medical declination for COVID vaccination must be accompanied by a physician's note, while religious declination requires no supporting documentation. The hospital retains the right to cancel up to 4 shifts during the course of the 13-week assignment.
