Experienced Paralegal

Job Description Job Description Marron Lawyers, a Long Beach based business litigation firm has an opening for a paralegal with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience. The candidate would be working in a demanding but rewarding environment, with a strong group of collegial coworkers. Candidate must be a team player, and willing to perform a wide variety of tasks in differing areas of law. Our offices are located near the 405/Lakewood Boulevard exit, which is a convenient commute from both Los Angeles and Orange Counties. Responsibilities: (include but are not limited to): E-discovery; Significant document review with an eye towards discovery responses; Creating and maintaining matters in case management system; Preparing pleadings for filing and serving in State, Federal, and Appellate courts; Preparing discovery, correspondence and other documents; Proofreading and finalizing documents; Organizing briefs, exhibits, and appendices; Maintaining calendar and docket for events and key deadlines; Preparing attorneys for hearings, depositions, and trials; Trial prep (exhibit and witness binders, liaison between attorneys, witnesses, etc.); Tracking and recording your time and billing entries; Broad support role for attorneys in managing caseload. Qualifications: Paralegal Certification (preferably from an ABA accredited program/college); 1 to 2 years' experience working as a paralegal; Strong technical skills with Word, Excel, Adobe, Outlook, and TimeSlips (preferred); Ability to organize and prioritize projects; Possess excellent work habits and professional demeanor; Punctuality and consistent attendance imperative.
