Structural Steel Project Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Structural Steel Project Manager to oversee large-scale structural steel projects from award through completion. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with both structural steel fabrication and erection, along with a proven history of successfully managing projects ranging from 2,500-5,000+ tons.

Responsibilities

• Manage structural steel projects from contract award through completion
• Coordinate fabrication, detailing, erection, and field operations
• Work closely with customers, engineers, detailers, fabricators, and erection crews
• Review drawings, specifications, schedules, and project requirements
• Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets
• Monitor project progress, costs, materials, and manpower
• Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
• Maintain strong communication with customers and project stakeholders
• Identify and resolve project issues to keep work on schedule and within budget
• Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to contract requirements

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing structural steel projects
• Strong background in both structural steel fabrication and erection
• Proven experience leading large-scale projects, typically 2,500-5,000+ tons
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, shop drawings, and specifications
• Strong understanding of fabrication and erection processes
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
