We are currently seeking a Senior Techno Functional Business Analyst to join our team in Dublin, Dublin (IE-D), Ireland (IE).

FS Advisory Consultant (Techno-Functional Business Analyst)

Summary of Role

In this role, the individual will:

• Bring a strong understanding of Financial Services consulting, business analysis, and technology-enabled transformation, having worked in a similar capacity across advisory and implementation engagements.
• Lead advisory engagements involving business operating model design, business process transformation, cost-benefit analysis, and technology enablement.
• Engage business stakeholders to capture, analyze, and document business requirements, process models, and target-state solutions using industry-standard frameworks and tools.
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications, ensuring alignment between business objectives and technology delivery.
• Act as a liaison between business, product, architecture, data, and technology teams to drive successful solution implementation.
• Support end-to-end transformation initiatives across Banking and Financial Services domains through a combination of consulting and technology expertise.

Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Advisory

• Engage with business stakeholders to understand problem statements, define scope, and identify business outcomes.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder interviews to gather business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
• Document current-state (As-Is) and future-state (To-Be) business processes and operating models.
• Perform process analysis and identify opportunities for digitization, automation, simplification, and operational efficiency.
• Develop business cases, impact assessments, and cost-benefit analyses to support transformation initiatives.
• Conduct industry benchmarking and research to identify leading practices, operating models, and emerging trends.
• Support business strategy development, customer experience improvement, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Develop a deep understanding of the business context, market landscape, and regulatory environment affecting stakeholders.

Technology & Delivery

• Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and use cases.
• Collaborate with solution architects, engineering teams, data teams, and testing teams to design and deliver technology solutions.
• Define data requirements, system integration points, reporting requirements, and business rules.
• Support solution design workshops and ensure business requirements are accurately reflected in technical designs.
• Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, prioritization, and release management activities.
• Support system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and production deployment activities.
• Assist with data analysis, data mapping, migration requirements, and reconciliation activities where required.
• Ensure traceability between business requirements, functional specifications, testing, and implementation outcomes.

Product & Change Management

• Work closely with Product Owners and business stakeholders to define and prioritize product roadmaps.
• Create and manage epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria within Agile delivery environments.
• Support organizational change management, stakeholder communication, and business readiness activities.
• Drive stakeholder alignment and facilitate decision-making across business and technology teams.
• Contribute to a metrics-driven culture through KPI definition, tracking, and benefits realization reporting.

Experience & Skills Required

• Strong background in Financial Services consulting, business analysis, or transformation delivery with preferably 10+ years of experience , including 4+ years within a Big 4 advisory or similar consulting organization .
• Proven experience delivering large-scale business and technology transformation initiatives within Banking and Financial Services.
• Strong techno-functional expertise with the ability to bridge business requirements and technology implementation.
• Experience in business process modelling, requirements elicitation, business case development, and operating model design.
• Strong understanding of system implementation lifecycles, solution delivery methodologies, and change management practices.
• Experience working with product owners, solution architects, developers, testers, and business stakeholders throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Knowledge of system integration concepts, APIs, data flows, data mapping, reporting, and enterprise applications.
• Experience working in Agile, Scrum, SAFe, and Waterfall delivery environments.
• Proficiency with business analysis and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Signavio, Miro, Blueworks, or Azure DevOps.
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and workshop facilitation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in complex transformation programs.
• Solid understanding of digital transformation, customer experience, process optimization, and technology modernization initiatives.
• IT background with a strong appreciation of enterprise technology architecture and solution delivery.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in core banking, payments, lending, wealth management, capital markets, insurance, or customer servicing transformation programs.
• Exposure to cloud-based platforms, data modernization programs, AI-enabled solutions, and digital channels.
• Relevant certifications such as CBAP, PMP, PRINCE2, Agile BA, Scrum, SAFe, or Product Owner certifications.
• Bachelor's degree with 2.1 or higher (or equivalent) in a related discipline; Master's degree preferred.
