Process Improvement Analyst

Our client is seeking an Analyst to join a lean, collaborative team dedicated to enhancing financial processes, systems, and operations across the organization. This role is suitable for an individual with a strong accounting background who enjoys analyzing current processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing more efficient solutions. Key Responsibilities: Evaluate existing accounting and finance processes to identify opportunities for standardization, improvement, and increased efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business requirements, challenges, and areas for process enhancement. Support initiatives involving system workflows, process redesign, automation, and system enhancements. Assist with the implementation, testing, and ongoing optimization of financial systems and enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions. Participate in gathering requirements, creating process maps, documenting procedures, testing, and executing implementations. Analyze financial data to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for better controls and streamlined workflows. Support user acceptance testing to ensure new processes and system functionalities align with business needs. Develop and maintain documentation related to processes, procedures, workflows, and transformation projects. Track project activities, communicate progress, and address issues or dependencies with stakeholders. Contribute to change management efforts and facilitate adoption of new financial tools and processes. Take ownership of initiatives, ensuring timely progress within a lean and dynamic team environment. Build and maintain effective working relationships across the organization to promote a collaborative culture. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. Professional experience in accounting or a closely related financial function. Practical experience in process improvement, including evaluating and implementing process enhancements. Strong understanding of accounting processes and financial data flow within organizations. Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues and develop practical solutions. Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with finance and cross-functional teams. Comfort working onsite four days per week and contributing actively to a team-oriented environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting the implementation, upgrade, migration, or optimization of financial systems, especially ERP solutions. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) is highly preferred. Knowledge of process mapping, workflow automation, system testing, and user acceptance testing. Background in financial transformation, finance systems implementation, or continuous process improvement environments.
