Part-Time Food Service AssociateMeriwether Godsey is looking for a Part-Time Food Service Associate at The Governor's Academy, a prestigious independent day and boarding school located in Byfield, MA.Must be available: Sunday and Wednesday, 11 am-7:30 pmPart-timeFood handling and customer service experience preferredWhat the Food Service Associate will do:Greet customers with a positive and friendly attitudeOperate registers, scanners, scales, and credit card/debit card terminals while handling exchanges in a quick, efficient mannerTransport food and supplies to the cafeteria: assist in the set-up, maintenance, and breakdown of the cafeteria, food serving, and beverage areas.Serve and replenish food from food counters and steam tables.Assists in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods and properly stores food, utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage.Keep dining room areas and assigned kitchen areas neat and organizedClean and sanitize work areas, dining tables, chairs, and equipment throughout and after meal periodsMaintain cleanliness and sanitation of other kitchen areas by following daily and weekly cleaning assignmentsInspect workstations for compliance with service standards.Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training, and hazard assessments.What the Food Service Associate will need:Must be able to pass an FBI background checkHigh School Diploma or EquivalentExcellent communication and good organizational skillsFlexibility: ability to switch between locations and job dutiesServSafe Food Handler Certification preferred.Reliable TransportationWhat the Food Service Associate will get:Competitive Pay, Uniforms, Meals, Training and Mentorship, and Benefits (Health, Dental, Vision, etc.)Meriwether Godsey offers significant opportunities for growth and career advancement.
